Villers-la-Montagne is a town of 1,600 inhabitants located in Meurthe-et-Moselle, near the Luxembourg border. The municipality’s website was completely modernized to improve residents’ access to information. It brings together news, local events, administrative procedures, and municipal services in a clear and responsive interface, accessible on all devices.

The Problem & Goal
Project Objective : The goal of the project was to modernize the municipality’s website by making it clearer, more accessible, and fully responsive across all devices (mobile, tablet, desktop). It needed to provide easy access to local news, events, and administrative services for residents.
Initial Problem Statement : The previous website was outdated, not user-friendly, and difficult to maintain. It no longer met the expectations of the residents or modern web standards, which limited its usefulness and accessibility.
Target Audience : The website is primarily intended for the residents of Villers-la-Montagne, including elderly people and those less familiar with digital tools. The key need was to provide a simple, readable, and regularly updated platform to improve communication between the town hall and its citizens.
My Role & Tools
My Role : I was responsible for the entire website redesign, from writing the specifications to creating the wireframes and developing the final site. I also ensured that the site was accessible, fully responsive, and easy for the municipal team to manage.
Team / Context : This project was carried out independently in direct collaboration with the Villers-la-Montagne town hall. The goal was to deliver a modern, user-friendly platform that could be easily updated without technical knowledge.
